Meiden.Meridian.Moichido Part III Day 2
They waited for us outside their school in temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius just to greet us!
their new school buildingwe went up 5 floors to their band room and settled down before unwrapping our instruments for the 1st time and getting ready for sectionals.
ito sensei took us for combines as he helped us with some of our pieces. Time passes really quick there and soon it was time for us to make our leave.
for dinner, mr wong treated us to this great place that served delicious chicken wings.the underground railway system in Nagoya that we always took.
back at Ryokan Meiryu, sections decided to complete their gifts for Aichi Meiden students. Here is trombone section hard at work.we Excos, also did not slack and complete the gifts for the various people who made this trip successful

Machu Picchu
Though Machu Picchu is a very technically and musically demanding piece and no matter how much you dread playing the challenging parts - you gotta admit that it's such a beautiful and brilliant masterpiece. Unknowingly, you're tapping your feet to it during band (well you should stop doing it anyway!), you're humming to it every now and then and the song just goes on replay in your mind uncontrollably.
Yes, you are falling in love with Machu Picchu.
To gain a better understanding of what the piece requires, I think we should all know what the legendary city looks like (yes! it actually exists on earth) so here you go!
P.S. The video gets boring after 5 seconds, trust me. I suggest you mute it and play the song from the playlist at the right to achieve optimal effect.
Enjoy!

Memories: Meiden Meridian Moichido Part III
i am terribly sorry for the delay in the uploading of the photos. we were compiling as many photos as we can from as many of you. here are some pictures from Day 1.
the multi-purpose hall. volley. badminton. basketball. you name it..
the teachers room.
one of the many shelves displaying a proud 5oyears worth treasures of achievement and accolades.
huddling up to keep ourselves warm and ready to watch the videos.
the meiden showing us a few of their display band's competition video. versatile players. they play symphonic as well as march well.. our true teenage idols
warming up to the different atmosphere for playing - cold air = flatter tone..very very flat..
my internet connection is slightly down at the moment. i will continue for day 2 and the rest tomorrow. take care all!

COSMOS:D
Regarding the COSMOS score right, I realised it's kinda blur and all that, and I made one mistake(heh.) so you all can refer to this one, and make amendments or whatsoever. :D
COSMOS
lyrics by MIMASU
Natsu no kusahara ni
Ginga wa takaku utau
Mune ni te o atete
Kaze o kanjiru
Kimi no nukumori wa
Uchuu ga moeteita
Tooi Jidai no Nagori
Kimi wa Uchuu
Hyaku O-kunen no rekushi ga
Ima mo karada ni nagareteru
Hi-kari no ko-e ga sora takakukikoeru
Kimi mo hoshi da yo
Minna minna
Ah Ah Ah Ah~
Toki no nagare ni
Umareta monona-ra
Hitori nokorazu
Shiawase ni nareruhazu
Minna inochi o moyasun da
Hoshi no you ni hotaru- no you ni
(1st time bar)Hi-kari no ko-e ga sora takakukikoeru
Bokura wa hitotsu
Minna Minna
(2nd time bar)Hi-kari no ko-e ga sora takakukikoeru
Kimi mo hoshi da yo
Minna Minna (x2)
*The part where it changes key uses the 2nd time bar's lyrics.
Anyway right, if you all want to know, the song's actually about the universe. Or rather, cosmos. Yah. :D Credits to Meiden for the score! Happy singing!
